Flights between Colombo and Kochi cancelled until Saturday

SriLankan Airlines said it has temporarily suspended flights to and from the South Indian city of Kochi until 18th August, following the closure of the Kochi Airport due to flooding in the region. The airport was closed today (15th August) until  2 p.m. on 18th August due to heavy floods in the area and further updates on the situation are awaited from authorities at Kochi Airport. Flights between Colombo and Kochi have been cancelled until Saturday.The flights have been cancelled as a result of flooding at the Kochi Airport. Accordingly, SriLankan Airlines said that all passengers booked to fly to or from Kochi during this period may opt instead to fly from or to another city served by SriLankan in South India, at no extra charge.
